After collecting antique clocks for many years
I acquired my first antique Black Forest Cuckoo Clock. Unable
to find replacement bone cuckoo hands I decided to make my own.
After showing the bone hands to a few collectors, it wasn't
long before requests from other Black Forest enthusiasts soon
followed.
I now carve hands, numerals, hand nuts and key
hole grommets etc., for some of the most prominent collectors
of antique cuckoo, trumpeter and flute clocks around the world.
I start by using only original authentic Black
Forest bone cuckoo clock hands from which I make patterns. Failing
to find an original hand I will develop patterns from good quality
photographs taken from a variety of angles. The hands I carve
are exact duplications of hands found on most antique Black
Forest cuckoo clocks, whether the clock is a Beha, Wehrle, Haas
or other manufacturer.
I use only the best quality sterilized bone that
is custom cut to my specifications. I can, upon request, age
the bone to make the hands look old and original to the clock.
Demand only the best for your antique Black Forest
cuckoo, Trumpeter or Flute Clock restoration, you will not be
disappointed.
