About Me

About ten years ago, having collected and restored clocks for many years, I acquired a Black Forest Clock that needed bone hands. In my search for original hands, I discovered that I was not alone in needing hand carved bone hands. After trying unsuccessfully to acquire them, I decided to make my own. Several collectors were willing to loan me their clocks as models. Using these hands as patterns, I made my first set.

The collectors were so impressed that they favored me by asking that I carve replacement hands for many of their clocks. Now, I am pleased to say, my hand carved bone hands adorn hundreds of antique Black Forest cuckoo clocks world wide.

The hands that I carve are authentic in every detail. Every effort is made to use original Black Forest cuckoo hands as patterns. Failing that, I will use good quality photographs to develop patterns from which to carve.

If you demand the best for your antique Black Forest Cuckoo / Trumpeter clock restoration, you will not be disappointed with a set of hands from Bonehands!
